Aw - I'm upset. I just read on the news that Tony Hart has died. That man was one of my heroes. He gave us Take Hart, Hartbeat and of course, the wonderful Morph. As a child I loved watching his art programmes and I would spent endless hours drawing and painting trying to make pictures just like Tony did. He was fabulous!Goodbye, Tony and thank you. You're a legend.
Hugs Laura! I was also upset to hear of Tony Hart's demise, me and my daughters used to watch all those programmes too, one of them in particular, Sam, was a great fan and spent hours, just like you, drawing and making stuff. Thanks for those happy-creative days Tony Hart xx
ReplyDeleteIt's sad, isn't it? Tony was such an inspiration. I'm pleased that I emailed him a few years ago to tell him just that.

ReplyDeleteMe too. He lived to a good age, but still hard to believe he won't be around anymore as he was the sort of person you expect to live forever. Really loved watching his programmes - me & Martin were quite sad yesterday when we heard the news.

Oh, Tony. I think he shaped my childhood - lying on the floor, surrounded by crayons, paper and sticky stuff!!
