Lonelies

Lampwork glass beads

I decided to sort out my Lonelies jar. With the contents I've made three strands of eighteen beads.

Lampwork glass beads

Each strand contains an owl, a cupcake and a matching pair. I'm selling them at £19.50 per strand and they're available here.

I've also reduced (and I mean reduced) the price of my Purple Blush beads and my Eton Mess and Triple Chocolate bracelets so there are three bargains to be had there.

I've also had to change the owl bead ordering page. Why? Because of the increasingly on-tits-getting way that glass companies keep discontinuing and changing glass colours, that's why. The colour I was using for the 'tawny' owls no longer exists so I've replaced it with an auburn shade.

If you've ordered tawny owls, fear not, they will indeed be tawny but from now on the tawny colour option no longer exists.

Back to packing up bead orders now and then I'll be off to the Post Office.

Have a good rest-of-the-afternoon!

And this weekend there is 10% off everything in my shop! Owl Update

Glass owl beads

I've added three colour options to the owl ordering page. Admittedly the options are a touch Henry Ford in that you can have any colour you like as long as it's brown, but yeah, you can choose. There will be some wackier-coloured owls at some point but for now I'm sticking with the more 'natural' look.

You can also opt to have your owl turned into a pendant or a charm.

All owl-related bead stuff can be found right here.

And now I'm heading shedwards ...

'Frosted Pastels'

Etched lampwork glass beads

The decorated beads in this set have white cores which have been encased in rose pink, light amber-yellow, pale aqua and soft grey and they're decorated with white stringerwork. There are four matching pairs here which makes this a great set if you fancy making some earrings.

The strand also includes a dozen matching spacers, three of each colour. All of the beads have been acid etched to a soft velvety finish.

The strand is priced at £20.00 and is available here.

Oh, and you can use the discount code BBL10 to receive 10% off everything in my shop but you'll have to be quick because the code expires at midnight (UK time) on the 14th June.

See you later,

They're back!

Lampwork glass cupcake beads

Remember the cupcakes?

Remember how they nearly drove me insane?

Well, they're back.

Only this time they're available in just nine 'flavours', as loose beads (£7.50) or as pendants or charms (£9.00).

I'm sorry that the cupcakes aren't as customisable as they were last time around.

Anyway, all the ordering details are right here.

It's late now and I have a newsletter to type so I shall bid you goodnight.

'Eton Mess'

Lampwork glass bead stretch bracelet

The rich reds and bright whites of this Droplets bracelet remind me of strawberries, raspberries, meringue and cream which is why I've named it 'Eton Mess'. The bracelet is priced at £28.00 and is available in my shop.

Talking of Eton Mess, I've been satisfying my pudding cravings (yep, still doing Slimming World) with a version of it. Somebody on Twitter named it 'Eaten Less' which is a great name for it. I stir fresh strawberries or raspberries into a bowl of fat free fromage frais or fat free natural yoghurt (sweetened with a little artificial sweetener) and if I have some in stock, I break up a meringue nest and add that to the mix too and ooooh, it's yum!

Have a super duper Friday night,

'Amber Ombré'

Lampwork glass beads

ombré  adjective  shaded or graduated in tone: said of a colour

If Pinterest has taught me one thing, it's that ombré is so hot right now. With that in mind, I've made this set of etched, polka dotty beads in three shades of amber. The set comes with a dozen co-ordinating spacers and is available in the usual place.

A couple of you have asked me about Freshly Baked Beads and Folksy. I am no longer doing either. The Folksy shop was a temporary thing whilst I changed web hosts. The whole idea of upgrading to a site with a shopping cart was to make my life a little bit easier. I wanted to be able to put beads on the website and just have them sat there for when YOU want to buy them. I guess it's a case of not being able to please all of the people all of the time but the new shop is working for me and the whole technical process of selling my beads is much quicker and easier. It frees up so much of my time that I am able to make two or three lots of each set.

I still have website tweaks to make because I'm not happy with a couple of things and I have to transfer my domain name across to the new host but I'm slowly getting into the new swing of things.

Don't forget that you can keep up with shop updates via my Twitter updates and my Facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by,

Winner

I know I'm a tad late with this but the RandomNumber-A-Tron2000 just picked number twenty-one as the winner of the prize beads. I make that 'Jill'. WOOYAY!

Jill, please contact me with your address so I can post your beads.

Thank you to all who entered. There'll be another draw shortly.

Just hold tight ...

... and I'm sure this turquoise obsession I've currently got going will pass shortly.

I don't know why I'm so caught up with this colour right now but I am and there's not a lot I can do about it. If you're not sick of the sight of turquoise then you might be interested to know that these 'Beach Stripes' beads are for sale in my shop, priced at £16.50 per strand.

The colours for this set (and for the 'Beach' beads in the previous post) were inspired by the crochet that I'm working on. Admittedly, the yarn isn't turquoise and it's a slightly greener colour, more celadon or seafoam, but it's similar.

The yarn is Sirdar 'Ella' and it's a cotton blend with a spangly silver thread running through it. I'm just making as many squares as I can from the yarn that I have and then I'll work out what to do with them. Maybe I'll fashion Nigel a natty waistcoat.

Don't forget the prize draw; I'll need your entry by tomorrow night if  you fancy at shot at winning the beads.

Time to crochet another square. Have a fab night!
