I finished knitting them last night and it couldn't have been better timing because today it's snowing outside. I'm so excited! I absolutely flippin' love the snow and I just did a little it's-snowing-and-I'm-wearing-my-new-socks dance in the conservatory. In fact I got a little bit snow-crazy and flung the conservatory door open and sat there with my legs dangling outside to test the warmth of the socks. They're toasty!
I know I sound like a sap but I think it's safe to say that I'm totally addicted to knitting socks. I've already started another pair. I think the ladies in the local wool shop are going to be sick of the sight of me!
I'll post again later with bead news .....
Congratulations! They look great - could have done with those myself this morning whilst building a snowman! No work, school is shut, it's like being a kid again!
ReplyDeleteWOW, they really look nice and warm!! just what we need for this weather...but where do you get the time? ;o)
ReplyDeleteCool socks Laura! We've only got a couple of inches of snow down here in Southampton, but it's enough to build a snowman and make me wish that I'd finished my hat last night!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have some straight stitches! I love 'em... I am making some right now.
ReplyDeleteFab Laura, The tension of the stitches looks perfect - there is no end to your talents!!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE snow too, it's wonderful, looks magical and makes everyone so happy and friendly :-D
xxbeth
Snow is indeed a wonderful thing. I just love seeing everyone wrapped up in their hats, scarves and gloves.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for all the sock compliments, everyone. I'm working on a very bright pair at the moment!
Impressed! they are very even and well made!
