'Purple Fusion'

Yep - more Fusion beads, this time in my favourite colour. Lovely, lovely purple. These ones are on eBay too.

My Fusion beads feature some really delicate stringerwork. I thought I'd post a photo to try and show exactly how thin that stringer is :

Normal glass rods are about 6-7mm in diameter. Pre-pulled stringers that you buy from glass suppliers are about 3mm diameter and the green stringer in the photo is one of those. Yes - those four thin white strands are my ridiculously thin stringer!

  1. I've been reading about stringers in my book which has now been read cover to cover 7/8 times. Waiting for payday and then going to have a look at a little torch, will have to spread the expence a bit!

I do love theswe beads Laura, really pretty!

  3. Wow, I don't know how you do it! How do you make those tiny flower-shapes? Do you have to shape those as well?

  4. Thanks for the lovely bead feedback.

Angie, it is tricky to use such thin stringer and when doing so there can often be a large amount of swearing!

Caroline, the little flowers are murrini. I make a stripy cane, nip it into small bits and apply them to the bead.
